Why I Quit My Job and Left The Country
First I saved my money. Then I quit my job.
A great job. A job that paid me a decent salary (for a 27-year-old) and gave me great benefits. I loved the people I worked with, and the job was easy enough.
It was comfortable. But, I don’t do well with comfortable.
Not when my soul is itching for more.
Here’s why enough was enough:
I quit my job because I didn’t love it nor looked forward to doing it.
I quit my job because it was not in an environment where I could grow or thrive.
I quit my job because it became tedious and boring. I could entertain myself- but that only went so far.
I quit my job because I wanted and needed a challenge.
I quit my job because it wasn’t a place I saw myself in 3, 5, or 10 years.
I quit my job because I could spend the same 8 hours working on the business I love instead of working for one I didn’t.
I quit my job because I know there is more for me to do in this world.
I quit my job because I wanted to give myself the chance to go find that “more.”
I quit my job because I am learning to love myself and that means going after what I want, not others.
I quit my job because I wanted to make more out of myself.
I quit my job because I’m going to give myself an actual chance. A chance to chase after my dream job and impact humans for the better.
I quit my job because maybe I can show others that they can do it also. If someone is courageous enough- others can be inspired from that.
I quit my job because it was comfortable. And there’s no growth in comfortable.
I quit my job because I wanted to find the magic that my heroes found when they decided to quit their jobs to go after their own dreams.
I quit my job because I know anything is possible and I want to be an example of that.
I quit my job because I am ready to pursue more of life than the 9–5 that I’m not into.
I quit my job because I wanted to be somebody who enjoyed their job.
I quit my job because I wanted to try something new.
I quit my job because I was ready to risk going after what I wanted than staying where I was.
I quit my job because I’m so f*cking excited to start my dream job of being a coach and impacting others to live positive lives.
I quit my job because I was ready for more.
I quit my job because I wanted to become the dream version of myself and whether I make it or not, I’m still going to give it my all and try.
I quit my job to pursue my dreams, because if I died tomorrow- I’d regret not trying. And no one is guaranteed tomorrow.
I quit my job because it was time.
I left the country because I thought, “ if I’m going to leave my job, I may as well leave the country too and see the world.”
Go big or go home, right?
