“What we don’t need in the midst of struggle is shame for being HUMAN.”
“What we don’t need in the midst of struggle is shame for being HUMAN.” -Brené Brown
There’s nothing easy about struggle. We aren’t going to downplay it or say, “my struggle is worse than yours.”
There is no comparing struggle because it’s entirely biased; based on a person’s interior and exterior system.
One more may feel struggle more than someone else. It doesn’t matter what it is though, because struggle IS struggle. No matter how good or bad.
Struggle comes with different meanings, which- again, is completely up to the person giving the word that meaning. But most people acknowledge that struggle is not easy.
But what we don’t acknowledge is the EXTRA LAYER of intense pain we feel when we are put to shame while we are struggling. Whether by ourselves or by others.
No one on this earth is perfect- and neither are you. While their problem isn’t your problem, that doesn’t mean you can bash them for having the ‘wrong’ problems.
We have to stop pointing our fingers — not because ours aren’t clean — but because we are all human. We all have our own wars. And they are hard enough. No one needs EXTRA layers of pain…
