In Every Obstacle, There is an Opportunity

If you’re willing to be honest and open with and about yourself.

Each morning while journaling, I always take the time out at the very end to figure out what is bothering me and why. It’s my core belief that thing happens FOR us instead of to us. So each day, I pick one thing I have a problem with and figure out WHY this experience is happening for me and what I can learn from it.

This morning, my problem was comparing myself and my ability to others. And I realized something important. I realized that while we are so busy comparing ourself to others, we’re not only forgetting our vision of what we are trying to strive for- but we don’t show up in the same way either, and neither does our content or whatever we are putting forth.

Our actions change, even if they are small because sometimes we portray them in a way that we think would be better because other people have successfully done it and we want to be just like them (i.e., successful). We force actions that we don’t believe in nor that we resonate with because we think it’s the ONLY way.

But it’s not true nor do we want to be just like anyone else. We want to be just like us. We want to show up how we envision ourself to show up to succeed. I think having heroes/goals/informative feedback etc., are important to help us keep our head in the…
